Biography
I attended San
Jose State University and studied Business Marketing and
Communication. In my early 20s I was led into an
awesome position with a corporate incentive and meeting
planning company. I worked within that organization for
18 years, moving from a temporary position to Vice-President.
As a corporate meeting planner I had the opportunity to
apply my skills in marketing, planning, organization,
and project development. I joined the team at SJCS in
July of 2006 and enjoy developing and sharing my character
with teachers, parents and students.
Personal Biography
I am a native San Jose, Californian.
My husband, Bruce and I have been married since 1994,
and we have two wonderful children, Shelby and Dwyer,
who attend SJCS. My three sisters and one brother and
their spouses and children are an amazing foundation for
our great family. We spend as much time as possible together.
I enjoy cooking for friends and family and spending time
outside. Winter activities are my favorite, with downhill
skiing at the top of my list. Camping in the summer would
be my first choice activity. As a family we worship at
Menlo Park Presbyterian Church where I serve in Childrens
Ministries as a creative communicator.
Christian Philosophy of Education
As the Director of Community Development,
I feel it is my role to encourage Gods love and
provision through hospitality. In Romans 12:12 it reads,
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful
in prayer. Share with Gods people who are in need.
Practice hospitality. Additionally, I desire to
encourage each family to find their spiritual gifts and
share them with our community. SJCS is amazing. I love
the dedication of the staff, the beauty of the campus
and the dedication to Gods kingdom that I experience
each day. God calls each of us to be a part of a community
of believers. I want to make SJCS a place where it is
comfortable for parents, students and staff to do just
that.
