Professional
Biography
I graduated from
San Diego State with a Bachelors Degree in Liberal
Studies for Elementary Education. I returned to my hometown
and pursued jobs in the areas of banking and medicine.
After getting married and starting a family, I returned
to the area of work I enjoy the most, which is teaching.
I have been aiding at SJCS in the Junior Kindergarten
classroom for 6 years, and I thoroughly enjoy my place
with these bright-eyed, eager-to-learn 4 and 5 year olds.
Personal Biography
I am a native Californian, born in San
Carlos and raised here in San Jose. I grew up in a large
family of 4 sisters and 1 brother, and I fit right in
the middle of this group. My husband, Matthew, and I have
been married for 20 years, and we have 2 children. Tony,
a graduate of SJCS and Archbishop Mitty High School is
in his first year at San Diego State, and Hannah is in
8th grade here at San Jose Christian. When I am not working,
I enjoy reading, walking, traveling, and spending time
with friends and family. We worship at Westgate Bible
Church and enjoy our experience there.
Christian Philosophy of Education
I am a firm believer, having come to
know Christ later in my life, that He is the most important
component of our lives. I love being in an environment
where I can help children learn about God, connect with
God, build a relationship with God, and try to understand
the immensity of His love and grace. Having Christ in
the center of your home, school, and church is Gods
desire as well as mine, and I am proud and blessed to
work at SJCS, a school whose beliefs encourage the same.
