Biography
I graduated from
San Jose State University in 1994 with a B.A. in Child
Development. While in college I worked at a preschool
in Los Altos as a teachers aide, then as a head
teacher, and eventually as the director for one year.
I also served as our churchs preschool coordinator
for 2 years. My responsibilities included tasks like scheduling
teachers, planning meetings, ordering curriculum, teaching
Sunday School, attending board meetings, meeting with
parents, and planning the annual outreach Christmas program
for the preschool department.
Personal Biography
I grew up in Cupertino and attended
Faria Elementary school and Monta Vista High School. I
have one sister who lives in Illinois with her husband
and 3 children. My husband, Gregg moved here from Michigan,
and we met in Yosemite. We have been married for 15 years
and have 3 children, all of whom attend SJCS. Keegan is
in 6th grade, Jensen is in 3rd grade, and Macey is in
1st grade. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading,
swimming, doing puzzles, and traveling, especially to
Disneyland! Our family loves Jesus, and we worship at
Westgate Church.
Christian Philosophy of Education
I consider it a blessing to work in
a Christian school and also a fantastic responsibility
to share the love of Jesus to the kids and their families.
The Bible tells us, Love the Lord your God with
all your heart and with all your soul and with all your
strength. These commandments that I give you today are
to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children.
Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk
along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
It is exciting to be able to weave Christ into
all aspects of life, including what we teach at school.
You dont have to look very hard to find Jesus in
every part of our daynot just in chapel, but in
science, in history, at lunch time, and out at the playground.
It is a privilege to be able to set a Biblical foundation
for these kids, to plant a seed that will grow into something
beautiful and fruitful as they continue this journey of
life and learning.
