Biography
I graduated from
Dordt College in 1995 where I majored in Elementary Education.
I received areas of specialization in Special Education
and Reading. My first teaching job was at Sunnyside Christian
School in Washington where I taught 1st grade for four
years. Following that time I moved to San Jose and began
teaching Kindergarten.
Personal Biography
I grew up in Montana, and my parents
and two younger brothers still live there. I enjoy traveling
back to my hometown to visit my family. In my time away
from work I like reading, riding bike along the coast,
and spending time with friends. I attend San Jose New
Hope Christian Reformed Church. I have also been a member
of Bible Study Fellowship for the past four years.
Christian Philosophy of Education
Believing that every child is a unique
creation of God entrusted to our care, it is our responsibility
to train and educate each one. The home, church, and school
must work together to prepare our youth for lifelong service
in His kingdom. As a Kindergarten teacher it is my calling/duty
to help guide and instruct these children in all areas
of education (social, emotional, academic, spiritual).
It is my desire that Kindergarteners receive a foundation
on which they can expand and grow in knowledge and service.
